Explore Murrells Inlet and its beautiful saltwater marsh estuary as we tour the tranquil waters, bird watching and observing the underwater sea life with a naturalist.
While on the cruise, participate in a live demonstration that includes local crabs and pulling a sample dredge from the bottom of the creek bed directly into the touch tank for all to observe.
The shelling cruise also includes a “walkabout” as the captain positions the boat on a local beach so you can disembark onto the beach and dune area searching for local treasures and shells.

Relax and enjoy a wonderful excursion through the saltwater marsh estuary of Murrells Inlet as you view wildlife, beautiful and historic home sites, and the pièce de résistance, our local sunset. The Explorer is a United States Coast Guard Certified and Inspected vessel that is 54′ in length and has a bathroom.

Come sail the Sea Gypsy III at the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk!
Your child is welcomed with a face painting of a curly mustache or with an anchor tattoo, dressed with a lucky treasure hunting vest, and marched off to the ship. Once aboard, the young pirates learn the rules at sea and use a treasure map to find the sunken treasure. As the crew searches for clues, they discover that Pirate Pete is lurking nearby and he has something our brave crew needs. Off we go into battle with our famous water cannons! Will the crew defeat Pirate Pete and find the sunken treasure!?!
